About José Albores - Founder of MetroLingo Academy

Hello! My name is José Albores, and I’m the founder of MetroLingo Academy. I was born and raised in Mexico City, and just like many of my students English is my second language.

When I was in high school, learning English felt incredibly difficult. I memorized grammar and vocabulary, but I never practiced real conversation. I spent all day speaking Spanish, so English stayed locked inside my mind. Over time, I learned something essential:

conversation is the key to breaking the internal barrier that keeps us from truly speaking a new language.

That philosophy is now at the heart of MetroLingo Academy.
I bring over 10 years of experience in education, including 6 years as a classroom teacher and 4 years focused specifically on teaching ESL to adult learners. Through these years, I’ve developed an approach rooted in empathy, patience, and genuine encouragement—because I know exactly what it feels like to learn English from scratch.

At MetroLingo Academy, my goal is simple:
To give you the opportunity to learn English through real, meaningful conversation and authentic communication, just like native speakers use every day.

As someone who has lived the ESL journey myself, I understand the fears, the frustrations, and the triumphs. I’m here to support you with kindness, dedication, and experience so you can confidently open the doors that English will bring to your life.
